I'm looking at removing the HICAS from my R33 GTR and wondered if anyone has any parts or suggestions?

Any information on the difference between a full kit and just the lock out bar would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there- a lot depends on your reasons for removing the HICAS.

However its fair to say some of the original components seem to be very prone to wear- especially the outer HICAS ball joints...

The problem with Lock Out Bars is they leave these components in place, causing further vague handling later on, or immediately if the ball joints are worn but the Lock Out Bar is purchased to sharpen the handling.

IMHO its better to buy a complete removal kit like the BYCAS. That way you remove all the physical HICAS components including the wear prone ones. Also shaves approx 5kg off the car too ;)

ps- other Hicas removal kits also available, lol ;)
