Right guys i have read all the info i can find on HICAs however it does not seem to metion my issue i have with it.

So i have had the car for 3 weeks now and everytime i have filled up the HICAS light comes on and stays on untill the engine is started from cold again. It has only come on when i have filled up.??

Does it have a weight control for the HICAS so it knows when to use it based on the weight of the vehicle.

Cheers

Chris

Nope, it'll be purely coincidence. Read my HICAS thread and check for error codes, it'll give you a clue where to start looking.

Hmmmmm.. I have filled up 8 times since i have had it and it only does it then????? sure it could be a coincidence?????
Well afaik the fuel level has nothing at all to do with the HICAS. The only thing I can think of is you may have a leaky fuel pump seal, and as you're filling up it's splashing up onto the HICAS control unit? Like I say, read my HICAS thread and check the error codes.

ok dude thanks for you advice will do the hicas system check.
Fluid level is not level when your fuel tank is fuel 80 liters of fuel is 80 kg. Try emptyish tank and 4 people in the car or both.
So i did the HICAS System check and said my ECU unit is at fault for the HICAS. Fitted new one and all is good.

Thanks

For your help.
Great news, was there any sign of fuel getting onto it somehow? Or was it just coincidence?

It was just a coincidence. The car is sound.
