I've had my new r32 GTR for less than a week and someone ran into the back of me on the way home from work tonight:minigun:
I was stopped at a roundabout and bang, a bloody corsa ran into the back......fortunately she wasn't going fast so the damage is limited to some scuffs on the bumper but both the reversing light lenses are cracked.
I'll get a couple of quotes for the scuff marks and contact the traders for the number plate holder as I think the reversing light are part of it (I maybe wrong and I'm sure someone will correct me), then phone the girl as she would rather keep the insurance companies out of it.

You stand the chance that you will force them to go through their insurance and then you will get listed as having a accident on your insurance also.
While your at it you may aswell go for whiplash and then help in increasing everyone elses insurance also.

The damage isn't that bad, the biggest being the number plate surround and the reversing lamp lenses, the bumper isn't cracked or chipped just scuffed. I ,along with the girl really don't want the hassle of involving the insurances co's. If she's happy to pay for the damage then I'm happy to let her......

Why rip her off. No one was injured only minor damage to the car. If she pays up thats it job done. No need for that kind of B.S. Its muppets like this that when accidents like this end up going through insurance causes everyone else to suffer when they have to renew their policy.

Agreed when i had the little bump to the rear from a taxi driver I got the phonecall saying are you injured do you need to claim !!!
