Hi, my names jacob and I'm from PA. Does anybody know about any Imports in PA? If I were to get a skyline, I'd wanna be able to go see it in person before I started throwing money around. Since I'm from Pa, Itd just be easy to go see it before purchasing.

Are you referring to an R33 or an R32. R33's can only be done through Motorex and JK technologies. R32's you have a bit more options.

You're better off buying one already in the US or an 89/90 R32 than importing something net new. Do some research. There's plenty on this topic already and you're not going to find anyone in PA.

An 89 R32. I know the 25 year rule too. I know of an Importer in Florida called Rivsu imports they bring them into the states and you buy them through that company. But that's 900 miles from me. I'm just looking for a company that's closer to me that does relatively the same thing.

Risvu is pretty popular over at skylineownersusa.com. I'm always skeptical of importers in Florida though, but they sound pretty reliable.

Omg! Ok so I just re-read my OP. I ment to say IMPORTERS IN PA. Not imports in PA. I've seen an R32 in PA in Harrisburg.

You can go to the Customs and Border Protection agency website and do a search for registered importers or customs brokers in your area. They're usually near any major airport or sea port.

Yeah, that's Sean Morris' current company. No man in the US knows more about Skylines and importing them than him. His personal site www.gtrusablog.com is a wealth of information on GTRs, how to keep them going, and how to mod them properly. What were you looking to do? If it's just customs brokerage paperwork, they're rock solid but pricey. Elvin there told me that it's $5500 including all the bond, filing fees, customs duties and transport to their dealership in Ontario, CA. He quoted me $850 to ship from their location to Texas.

I was just looking to see who else is out there an things. To compare companies. They said that you could go through a private party, dealer, or auction. They are pretty pricy. I found another company out of Cali called Gorjia Imports. Don't know much about them. If I were to get a Skyline I'd probably go through Rivsu Imports because they're only in Florida and I'm in PA. Plus I've talked to Rivsu a lot and know more about them and stuff.

Are you looking to buy an R32? Gojira Imports isn't an actual importer or dealership. It's just two guys that are in the Skyline market to flip cars for what I'd consider a large markup. Right now on FB they're selling a bone stock '89 GTR for $25k, which is $7000 more than I paid for mine. They're not going to be able to do anything for you as far as after sales support goes, either.

Jake I too live in PA. Philadelphia to be exact.

Kabob and I just bought our GTR's through Dave at the GTR shop in UK. Average about $5-10k cheaper than GTR's already in the US.

As for Rivsu I did speak with them a few weeks ago. They are legit. However, they ship the car to FL and take possession of the car and get it titled in FL as they are an imported and dealer.

Then they would ship the car to PA with a FL title and then you go to PA DMV with FL title and change it over to you.

Kabob and I are getting a customs broker to perform all the paperwork and filings. Then we go to our closest port and take possession of the car. Then we go to the DMV and get the title.

Two choices. Pay Rivsu or Sean Morris to do all the legwork for you or research the process and do it yourself with a customs broker.

Ok thanks for the info man. I'll have to look more into the paper work situation. My father is a self employees auto/motorcycle dealer of used vehicles. His business is 22 years old. What we do is put the cars we get Into the business name. I'm gunna do that do for Insurance reasons through the Business. We'll have to ask about that. It coming from FL with a FL title would be ok I think because we get cars from OH, NY, PA, even virginia sometimes I think we might've got a 68 cougar from Cali. We just put the cars in the business name. I'll have to look into it more though.

Oh ok. Oops. Thanks man. I'm talking to Dave from the GTRShop through email now. How come it's cheaper to go his route then find one in the states? Say from Rivsu?
