Any particular reason for these places you have picked out?

This is a possible outline for a route around Ireland this is very basic hope the Irish boys can help with this best roads and places to see
DAY 1, all meet in Dundalk
DAY 2, Dundalk – Omagh = 110km
DAY3, Omagh – Galway = 262km
DAY4, Galway – Killarney =208km
DAY 5, Killarney – Waterford =206km
DAY 6, Waterford – Dublin =174km

just trying to get the mileage right not wanting to be driving all day also they say Galway has some good roads and the ring of Kerry also has good roads but i don't know the area so any advice would be good getting the route right is imperative to get the route just right for everyone

as for Dundalk is was halfway from Dublin and Belfast

Have to agree with Smurf, coastal run up from belfast to portrush is excellent on sunny days, you prob wont get a better road for views etc on the island if you ask me

The road from enniskillen to Sligo (which you will be going if you go from omagh) is a savage road for driving, loads of twists and turns and no potholes.

As for good driving roads in galways, there is but they would be a fair bit out of the way you'd have to be going towards the coast from Galway city but again they are nice twist and turns but bumpy roads

killarney is a beautiful spot and would highly recommend going there, I never drove the ring of Kerry though so don't really know what it's like

Drop on coast road at larne, no point in belfast to larne, its not great, the real scenery starts at larne on coast., keep the big blue thing on your right and keep driving, eventually you will hit portrush, In the middle of the run it breaks through a bit of countryside outside cushenfall to ballycastle area, twisty hill roads. Tore around it yesterday in my r34 with the antilag on. haha.

Expect larne, to portrush, to take about 1 hour of driving, probably 50 mile. Super unleaded, 97ron, BP ultimate is all you will find in the north, being realistic, is available at larne and in portrush, If your going for it, i will tag along myself and hopefully a few others from our rock.

thats what your after. Have not read the whole thread by way, but, as it starts in larne, i would get boat to larne and make that your first stint. maybe. Also, portrush is only a hop skip and jump over into donegal, it has some cracking roads too,

And you can stop off at Glencar Waterfall - Big car park beside a lough, it's nice for pics with family etc & it's over looked by scenic Benbulben mountain range. Any queries about Sligo or the surrounding counties, I'll be happy to answer.

Gents I was thinking as this run will include some kids that will be coming over with us we could include a family day out this is something the Irish boys could help out with, maybe have a show with the cars, have a bouncy castle, BBQ,you know what I mine and we could charge for people seeing the cars and all proceeds going to charity

hi do you want to go to a show or make the show? ie your cars at a big meet up area have a bouncy castle etc as you have said or go to one of the irish run shows (there all crap now)
