Is the oil press not to low?
I heard it supposed to be around 2.1-1.9 bar whilst after hard drive betwen 1.7-1.8
After 5 miles done mine show 1.5 Bar and temperature about 90 degree
I remember before change the oil Pressute was 2 bar with 90 degree
When is 1000RPM oil press show 2 bar, whilst when 500RPM only 1.5 bar
Syntetic Oil 540 +Japanese filter

From what i have derived from my standard oil press gauges in my skylines,

When you drive normally and just city driving etc, should sit around 2 bar or a bit higher or lower (this is because the gauges are a bit crappy at reading, but reasonably accurate).

When you thrash it it should sit around 4 bar just above or below.

Anywhere between just under 2 bar and just over 4 bar is all good for operation. Anything out of that range is either faulty gauges or something is seriously wrong.

Also when you first start up, it should sit around at 4 bar and then slowly drop to 2 bar.
(usually no one waits long enough for it to drop to 2 bar, but when you drive and the temp rises to operating temp, thats when your oil press would sit at 2 bar).

Hope it helps, this is what i have gathered going by owning 4 r32 skylines.
i ahve the same gauge pod :p

i had the same problem, changed oil/filter to mobil1 15w50 no difference

oil temps were hotter then normal, eventually found out that my stock rad was buggered causing the oil to keep the engine cooler(meaning the oil was getting much hotter and thinning out causing lower oil pressure) instead of the actual coolant

new rad and now the oil pressure is never below 2 bar on warm'd idle and i never see anything near 90c oil temp evening giving it stick

might be somthing to check out
Oil pressure depends on oil viscosity and temperature, oil filter size, location of the oil pressure sensor etc...

The engine repair manual says that at idle (650rpm +/- 50) at operating temperature (say 80C) with recommended oil (7.5W30) the normal oil pressure on the RB25DET is 1.1bar

This is what the manual says.

I use 5W40 fully synthetic, RB25DET, idle at 700rpm and get 1.3bar at 8OC.
Nothing to worry about as long as it doesn't go below that and that you get good pressure let's say 4-5bar above 3.500rpm

I get nearly 8 bar on a cold start and up to 6 when it's being driven hard, but then it's a newly rebuilt engine with an n1 pump.

im the same as you mate but my engine is standard :D:D:D
i get up over 8bar on cold start up, after 30-60 secs on tick over, this comes down to just over 4 bar

once fully warmed, its just over 2 bar

mobil1 15w50

is it a rebuilt standard? or just a really good condition original lump?

really good original lump mate :D:D not been messed with at all :D:D

i use racing 10/60 oil in mine

That´s because Nissan did you a favor when building yours. They thought for a special french boy we should defo fit a special french engine to that car. :loser:

This is one of the reasons for your relatively high oil pressure readings too as the 10W60 when up on temp will be thicker compared to something like xxW50 or even xxW40.
Standard figures:

Mpa (Kg/cm2)

ENGINE REVS IDLING 2000 6000

RB20E 0.1 (1.0) 0.3(3.8) 0.47(4.8)
RB25DE 0.1 (1.0) 0.32(3.3) 0.52(5.3)
RB25DET 0.11(1.1) 0.34(3.5) 0.55(5.6)
RB26DETT 0.15(1.5) 0.30(3.0) 0.46(4.6)
