I have just won a Skyline on ebay. Any comments?

I want to use it for the Nurburgring only. My questions are :

1. What mods still needed ? (Perhaps lower a little)
2. What faults to look for at inspection?
3. When do I need to consider doing cambelt, etc?
4. Who do you suggest for insurance ? (45yrs old)

I read up a bit before buying and although I would love a 34 V, I don't have the spare cash. Why NOT a 32? Go on, tell me the truth. I can take it (unless you have a Nismo 34 for £5k).

For a track car the R32 GTR is ideal.

Its lightweight and loads of torque/power

EDIT: I see you've allready done that. Its the best thing to do with a skyline in my opinion. My car prep at the moment is just for the ring next year.

Make sure you have good brakes (yeah I know my barke fluid boiled, thanks to SpeedR33per for fixing when we were out there), tyres and reliable power.

Thats a lovely looking R32 GTR, i'd only get a Greddy profec B boost controller fitted and set up by a tuner and maybe get the cambelt changed and it serviced for piece of mind.

Based in Wolverhampton, West Midlands.

Will look into Boost Controller.
Cambelt definitely on list, probably before next track day.

Might also look at a Cage, Buckets and Spades (sorry, Harnesses).
Depends how it goes as standard and what tuning I get up to.

32's all the way mate, best shape in my opinion, GTS-T should have come with the RB25 though!

Convert it to rear wheel drive, then you have a drivers car!
