the mocal plate i have are standard bsp fittings,why are your hoses different,you could maybe use a brass olive or get a bsp to jic adaptor as the hose looks like jic its the same thread but the concave is opposite american i think
Mocal oil thermostat - union won't seal
As in the title I've sprung a leak. It's working it's way down the threads due to having no mating surface on the couplings.
Most couplings i've seen have a concaved surface and the mating suface is convex providing a good seal but my hose coupling and the thermostat both have concaved surfaces leaving the sealing down to the threads.
I've put PTF on the threads and 3 out of 4 have sealed but one hasn't and it's the most awkward one to get to.
Does anyone know where to get an adapter of some sort. My local hose place where I had the lines altered say they haven't got anything for the job and the union on the thermostat should a be convexed surface.
