Right, 2 months has been long enough to keep my car pretty much standard. It's time to tune. Partly inspired by some double barreled toff who has just started at work lording it up about his Pro Drive tuned Impreza.

Being new to Skyline's, I need your wisdom on a plan or action. I know Skylineboy runs over 300 ponies off his GTS-T I need mine going in the same direction.

Current mods are

HKS Super Power Flow
HKS Super Drager back box
Blitz BOV (doesn't add any power, but scares the old people)

On the must do list is

Iridium Plugs
Down Pipe and De-cat
Cold Air Partiton

After these what's the best way for more power, I've read a few posts about various bits and pieces, but what works best with what. One thing that I'm not clear on is the Electronic Boost Controllers vs Piggy back or replacement ECU's.

I would appricate any advice on what my next mods should be and power gains from these. I'm suprised there isn't a section for each member to list the spec of their car.

Thanks

G

You might like to replace the Turbo Elbow pipe on the exhaust; I’ve been told this makes a difference.
A FMIC will give you a BHP boost, I would wait a while as there is one for the GTS soon to be available on here, watch this space.
A Cold Air Partition will be available thought Spec-r soon, or you can make your own (speak to Jock).
As for Electronic Boost Controllers vs Piggy back or replacement ECU's speak to an expert I will be.

Classic just had a conversation with the Impreza guy. First line was textbook.

"I hear you have a Skyline" to which I say Yep, then he says "I don't know that much about car's, I've got an Impreza"

Anyway back to the thread, what do I need to get up comfortably into the 300's

Ontop of what you have :-

Downpipe
Cat replacment pipe
Full catback system

Should see you at the 280-300 mark. Then you`ll be needing FMIC, Boost controler, ECU, Turbo etc, The list goes on and on.

Skylineboys car made 314bhp with a complete exhaust system, Cat replacment pipe, down pipe, air filter and FMIC. Running standard boost pressures too!!!

Change the turbo elbow at this point too otherwise you'll have to take it off again to change it later and it will allow boost to be held better when changing gear and improving spool times

Cheers people, I now have a shopping list, just need to source the parts now. I didn't realise that Skylineboy only had those mods seems pretty impressive to make 312bhp.
