im picking my 1st skyline up sat morning, its an r33 gtst 1996 model with 60k miles and full service history! seems to have been well looked after!

the only thing is it's not got an mot, i spoke to the guy and he said he'll try an get it done but cant promise.

its a bit of a risk i knw but i really want the car lol!

any tips on what to look for or any problems to check for?

cheers

It's simple really mate, don't buy the car without an MOT as it could potentially be a headace for you in the future. There is no reason why the current owner can't do it, if he really wants to sell the car then he should go to the trouble of getting it sorted.

Roba is right mate, if he cant promise an MOT dont buy it, there must be a reason he doesnt want to book it in.

Iv just had a look on the cars for sale section on here and there are a few nice examples up for grabs and at least that way you no your getting a car that has been cared for.

Looks nice but it does says its sold....so did you buy it.

I know what i would do i would say to the bloke "i will take it for the MOT in your area and i will pay for it, you can come with me and if it passes i will give you the money if not you can get stuffed"

At least that way you can call his bluff she if he knows if there is comehting wrong with it.

yeah as b3csy says keep your hard earned in your pocket until it passes the mot. If he is genuine then he/she wont mind, if they start getting cagey walk away.
