my r33 skyline gts keeps cutting out on me. it is an intermittent fault, sometimes i can be parked up with the engine running and when i close the bonnet or door the engine dies. has anybody else had this problem before. any help would be greatly appreciated.

does it play up at all when your out driving?

Check the main alternator cables in the front fuse box, Mine became loose and began getting a bad connection, started to melt the plastic box and the connection itself!! Caused the engine to just cut out when i had been driving!! Failing that it could just be a loose ht lead!

Have you got an alarm fitted mate, could be something to do with the alarm switches.

check the ground wire. if its loosely sitting on teh ground, and being bumped off after every bump, its probably that.
