So myself and Rach bought a Mitsubishi evo 8 on friday from a good friend of mine 54 plate 35.000 miles just brand new condition was going to be the new family car me and the other half was well chuffed then ...................just like that it was all over,
spent the past 3 days trying to get insurance and no joy thought it would be ok having the skyline but it is coming at £6000 for me and £4000 for my misses.
3 years since i was hit by an uninsured driver and its still stopping me from getting a decent car luckily the guy i bought it of says he would have it back if i can't get insurance as he is not desperate for the money, but i lost out on a superb car and i'm gutted, he is putting it in an auction next week as it is taken up a space in his garage, such a shame :(

How old are you?
Do you not have protected no claims?
Have you tried A plan?
i was 32 yesterday, been driving for 12 years ncb was not protected and now i cant earn ncb(when i was hit in my other car my insurance on the skyline went from £800 to £4000 so am now a named driver) A plan could not help with the skyline so never phoned them about the evo no point really

ah the joys of being the honest working man eh?

that's what happened bud, i had to claim on my insurance and lost my ncb and i cant afford to insure a fiesta in my own name so am now a named driver hence the reason im not building up my ncb again

im guessing claimed through his own insurnace to carry out repairs/value of write off
excatly mate wife and kids claimed injuries of my insurance also, yep that's right the wife and kids sued me lol but hey at least they got a couple of grand for when they turn 18
