If your heading for lots of power, you could get the block 'Cryogenic treated'. It's a method of freezing the block with liquid nitrogen for a period of time, then heated to about 300 degrees, the process is repeated several times and has the effect of tempering the cast making it very strong. I'd also look at Extrude honing of the water jackets, helps eliminate hot spots in the cooling galleries.

so it was your engine on MIGWeb.

I thought it was, but wasn't sure, now this has removed all doubt!

What did you do to it?

Paul, theres not alot you could have helped with. I had to be the only one to take it apart as i`m going to be the one putting it back together!!!

The engine suffered a spun bearing on number 6, which may be due to low oil level and cornering a little bit hard causing a oil surge!!! The Crank is dead as are all the bearings etc etc.
