Went to this on Monday, had an excellent time, had a few cone incidents but nothing a bit of T-Cut wont sort out! :)

It was good to meet Lanky who said he would be up for the next one (you know you want to mate! :D )

Just wondered seeing as there are a few GTS owners on here who would be interested in going? Its not easy, but excellent fun, and does actually teach you more about your car than you would think, sliding the rear end about you get to appreciate how your car responds to direction changes, weight transfer etc, I had still not really got the hang of it by the end of the day, but there will be plenty more practising going on to do something about that!! :D:D

So, lets see you out there!! :D

Will post links to pics and video when I get them sorted out... :)

Yup, first monday of the month it is... next one will be a practise day on the 7th July as far as I am aware..

I was so desperate to have a go I went straight into the competition day, but I would definitly recommend the practise days as they set out a donut ring and a figure of eight in addition to the track to hone your skills on... :)

They take place at Turweston Aerodrome, near Brackley, Northamptonshire.. its a 3 hour drive for me, so there should be no excuses!! :D:D:D

See you all there....!! :D

Yeah, poor old phatty, looks like he wasted his engine on the last run... :( I would post a link from the SXOC site, but it appears to be down... usually to be found here... www.sxoc.com/vbb do a search for drifting...

Some superb drifting from the top people, and some of the up and comings too... :)

Ahh I'm blushing now :D Cheers guys :D Skip I saw ur car, did I speak to u? or u ZX? it gets really confusing with board names and real names
Yeah I think I kinda broke my car in the final, whilst finally managing to make it into the last chicane from the hairpin in 1 single drift, which not 1 person had managed all day, I managed it, but was bouncing off the limiter so much I went into the 2nd part of the chicane, compensated and then promptly span out

but every1 should come to the next 1, and come say helloooo, I know I look like a bit of a scary criminal somtimes ;) but I'm a big softy really  :D

I'm gonna be there for sure! More fun than happy hour in a whore house (and I didn't even drive!!)

I really want to do some drifting on the 7th, but I could never forgive myself if gave my baby some cone shaped battle scars.

I've some serious thinking to do.

How's the door Skip??

ZX: Daves been trying to get me to come for ages, I've intended doing so a coupla times, but for 1 reason or another I've not been able to make it... My car probably won't be seen for a while, at least untill I find out whats up with the engine, and then theres the small problem off £800 worth of front bumper

I didnt speak to you Phatty, have to next time! :) Ar$e about your car, hope its not too serious, I came away with only the door (which I am only just about to go out and inspect thoroughly (I have been to scared to!! ) and the fuel gauge now shows permanently full  which is a pain!

Lanky, have a go and just be careful, I think I was maybe being a little heavy handed, being my first time and all, oh well, more practise needed!!! :)

See you all there next time!! :D:D
