I used plastic cote from halfords,£8 a can and only needed 1, no need to use primer as this sprays straight on and has a nice high shines in the pain so need to buy heat proof laquer either - bargains
Have used it on my previous gto, the wifes fto and the skyline last weekend, only prep work needed is clean surface and rub the covers down with high grit wet and dry, took mine out 2pm friday back in and painted 9:30 am saturday. nice and easy job.

Here`s a few of mine whilst it was in for a re-build, Hammerite smooth with no primer required. Great under temperatures and easy to apply, trouble is as you can see from the other pics, once all the ancilleries go on and it goes back in to your engine bay you cant really see it anyway :disappointed:
