Has anyone established if spark plug gaps on iridiums get wider with use as with standard plug types?

i had mine in for a year about 5000 miles and the old ones looked the same as the new ones i put back in

the more stick you give it the faster they wear out, the gap will incresae over a period of time. ive done less that 3,000 and ive gotta re-new them....:cheers:

well with 350 odd horse power more than me its no suprise

would more bhp have more of an effect on the life of plugs?

Thanks guys, and I have to agree, you could thermal lances in Kieth's and he'd burn them out.

I was just trying to decide whether to bother removing ours to check the gaps, but with our output probably not.

not nessessarily mate, you change the heat range to suit different power cars, but if you tend to be more on boost than of it, then they are knackered quicker.....
