About 200 bhp i should think. Thats working 250 at the flywheel & losing 20% through the transwich is the percentage i was told at the weekend.

Thanks.

Any idea if the transmission loss will go up as the power goes up ?

ie if power goes up to 300bhp, will losses stay at 50bhp or go up to 60bhp ?

Having said that...........there are skylines about with 1000bhp. That means they`ll be losing 200bhp through the transmission.
Is that right?
Thats nearly as much as i get at the wheels.

ive been told, that transmission loss equates to the rolling resistance of the car, hence if power increases the transmission loss will remain the same whatever the engine output.but there r ways of reducing these transmission losses.

I guess it would be somewhere between - if you think about it friction losses would be bound to increase cos you're pushing on all the parts that much harder.
