Here at work we have people who are designated as "power users" , they have specific knowledge in specialised areas so we can call on them for help with problems we know little about.......

Maybe something like that on here? If people would like to have themselves listed as experts or knowlegeable amateurs in areas such as-

Turbos , suspension , body kits , wheels/tyres etc......

Just a thought (all views welcome)

A nice idea, I can see it bruising a few egos though

Ads long as we remeber this is for the benefit of all and free advice to be taken as advice only.

But yeah I thought of that too going by previous threads in the past few months......

Yeah its a good idea, I think it will be tricky deciding who is expert on what though. Maybe some sort of cage fight?

Think it has the potential to turn into a series of 'I know best' ***** fights!!!

A lot of the advice is down to people's various experience's, also could be varying solutions to the same problems, which would again cause unrest!

Good idea though if we could decide on 'who knows what'.

We'd have to do it on a "best endeavours" basis and going by peoples own experiences.........

But over time we all know who has given good advice that has enabled us to fix our little niggles and faults.

If people put there names forward if they'd like to be included and what area they have a good knowledge in they we'd at least have a start?

Will have to see if Lenny thinks it's worth a try?

It's a nice idea, but I don't see it being viable in this situation because of the challenges mentioned above.

My suggestion to people would be to contact one of the registered traders for advice on certain issues. They are generally happy to give advice over the phone.

As it stands, everyone can be an expert and provide advice on certain areas.

This isn't a definate no to the idea, but I would like to see a bit more debate over the issue.

Cheers
