hi all
ive got two r33 saloons and they apeear to be prety much the same, however there are some differences.
one is an r33gts4 series 1 the other an r33gts auto (rwd) series 2. the series 2 has the rb20e the series 1 the rb25de.
the reason im puzzled is having had the chance to compare these two side by side there is a distinct difference between ride hights. specificaly the distance between the top of the tyre and the suspension top "knuckle" (for want of a proper name for it)
the gts4 sits a good 25mm above the top of the tyre..(and this is with over size 19inch wheels that are slightly larger than standard) whilst the other sits around 15mm.
the dampers on the front of the (lower) series 2 are marked up nissan ....?
my question is then how do i tell if the series 2 has been lowered? or is it the case that the gts4 rides higher than the "normal" gts? and they are both on standard settings.
any help would be great cheers.
