on the dials of the r33 ,it has a oil gauge ,am i right in thinking that it shows how much oil is in the engine. would just like some 1 to clarify that it is wot i think.

as my gauge is showing under the 4 mark so does that mean that i have under 4 liters of oil in it?

NO. It's pressure.

as said its shows the oil pressure

should read around 6 on startup and cold and then head down to around 4 when driving and the a little lower when idiling (as it shows in your pic)

Just for info, the oem pressure gauge isnt accurate at all but it does give you an idea of whats happening

Zero pressure means fvnked engine...

RB20E is 1.0 at idle, [email protected] and [email protected]
RB25DE is 1.0 at idle, [email protected] and [email protected]
RB25DET is 1.0 at idle, [email protected] and [email protected]
RB26DETT is 1.5 at idle, [email protected] and [email protected]

good info that. Ive always wondered what it should be. Are these minimum pressures or ballpark?
Ross, if your light is coming on get it checked out asap. The gauge isnt accurate but i would use it as indicative of a problem

if you do your walk round checks... tyre tread, lights, water & OIL you wouldnt have to worry bout this gauge... unless your oil pump goes. dont rely on this for checking your oil. do it yourself.. daily!

Its also common for the oil pressure sender unit (operates your gauge) to fail. So if its really low, there's a good chance it could be that... Hopefully, lol..

As said there not accurate anyway so good excuse to get some Uprated gauges...
