I'm interested, but won't be putting a 50% deposit down, as it's a lot of dosh to get first refusal on a car I haven't seen in the metal.
Can you let me know when it's due for sale, please?
Cheers.

Thinking about it, for me it was:

- half the cost of purchase in Japan to acquire the car.
- other half once the car is on the boat and you have the documents
- SVA, VAT & duty paid on arrival in the UK.

So I guess it wasn't half it was about a third up front.

You're supposed to base your decision on the condition report from the auction, plus the pictures.

I have worked the price backwards on this one and it is.

£6500 sale price.

less vat = £5532

Less import tax = £5029

less shipping handeling and customs clearance = £4429

less at least £500 profit for the trader ( more likely to be a grand ) = £3929 converted to yen = 735,000 yen. Which for a 1990 GTR in good nick is too cheap. Probably an accidedn repaired vehicle. Insist on seeing the Auction sheet before proceeding. If any of the panels have a double xx mark on it means the panel has been replaced.

Be aware.
