When I'm bored I like to think about random crap and today I was wondering just how much lighter my Skyline is now a load of stuff has been removed. I've been googling but couldn't find the weights of a lot of parts so I have a list of bits I know and some I don't.
So I'd really appreciate if those of you with the wisdom could fill in my blanks, please?
This is what has been removed.
Carpet - approx 5kg
Sound deadening (the nasty black stuff) - approx 10kg
Air con (everything removed) - approx 25kg
Heater (inc heater assembly, matrix, pipes) - ?
Bottom dash - ?
Centre console (all the plastic from the dash right back to the handbrake) - ?
Roof trim - ?
Standard front seats replaced with Cobra Monacos - approx 10kg saving
Rear seats - ?
Rear door cards - ?
Rear wiper motor assembly - approx 5kgish?
The fire guard panel that seperates the boot and rear seating area, I can't remember the name - ?
Boot carpet and trim - ?
I think that's everything at the moment. I don't know if the hicas has been removed, it was used as a track drift car so it's possible. I'll have to check when it's not raining outside but the lots weighs approx 25kg apparently.
