Can any one tell me where i would find the engine number on a gtr engine and after i have found it is there any where i can get it checked etc ?

Why do you need the engine number? I think there is a way in the FAST system to obtain engine numbers from your VIN.

there is a engine for sale and i want to make sure its ok before i buy it but the owner says he cant find any numbers on the engine at all. Would you know where he would find it or what it would look like? thanks.

So you want to know what engine it is? I'm pretty sure that's all the engine number will tell you wheather it is RB20, 25 26 etc, a picture here would be good if you've got one.

thank you for your help japtastic i will know were to look when i go and have a look at it. dose it sound funny not to have one on it atall or is this common on jap engines do you know?

No worries, pretty sure Nissan would have stamped every single one but as long as the engine is an RB26DETT which you can tell pretty easily and it works the engine serial number doesn't really matter IMO...

Doesn't the number let you know if it's an N1 block etc.?
