okay dudes, ive done a search on this and came back with many different opinions,

i was originaly searching for info on torqe splitter gadgets but it came back with comments saying about

1. pulling a fuse (r32 only?)
2. turning ignition off whilst moving & then restarting the engine shuts off 4wd
3. gtr's drift well any way but v-specs are a different story ?

can any one clarify any of this info

obvioously im a sensible guy and dont try and drift on public roads
so im very inexpereinced in this

can u drift a gtr?

can u drfit a v-spec

can i just pull a fuse?

can i do the ignition trick whilst moving?

do i just stop being a tight arse and buy a torqe splitting gadget????

I believe the switch on-and-off trick doesn't work on V-Specs, but I'm sure a fellow owner will tell you if it's possible and how ;)

the pulling fuse thing is for 32 gtr's only, you will need a torque splitter for the 33 gtr.

personally, if your just starting out in drifting I would get a cheap 200sx and learn in that. because you are gonna have a few prangs and break things and in a 200 its going to a lot cheaper to fix!

for just having a bit of fun and learning some basics you can pull fuse on a 32 - however front drive shaft will mean that it never behave like a real RWD drift car :)

to convert it into a proper drift spec GTR like this

you would need :

Remove front drive shafts
Rb25 box
Extra steering lock

here is a link to the spec http://www.sidewaysbuff.com/cars.asp

I had a go in the BEE-R 33 last yr - not what i consider real 'drifting ' , just having a laugh and bit of car control in a GTR

Tiger has best advice - if you want to get into to drifting Tramp Drifting is way forward ( or sideways  )

http://www.trampdrift.com/ - lots of great info here

I started in a £800 UK s13 didnt mod it just spent my money on tyres and track time - learnt as much as i could then upgraded to an HCR32 GTS :boogy:
