I have had fuel pump issues from a recent tune. I have replaced the stock fuel pump with a walbro one. I've also recharged the battery and installed correctly. Car electronics work. Car when key turned is kinda trying to start to poorly. There's no real cranking going on.

Fuel pressure Greddy gauge shows 3.0 (zero when you turn the key, which I think is just because the cars turning on and off etc).

FC Commander reads battery at 12.2v and 9v when turning the key.

I've got a quarter tank of vpower in and is mapped for that.

Plugs were checked other day and are correctly installed.

Splitfire coil packs are in and are newish.

I've tried taking out the pump relay fuse but doesnt crank to get rid of flooding, so I have put this back in.

Thoughts please?

"There's no real cranking going on." What does this mean? That the engine is not turning over on the starter motor?

Have you checked the 'two speed' fuel pump control relay etc., or perhaps it would be easier to disable it completely (search for fuel pump earth mod or something like that).

If you want to turn it over without fuel or sparks (if it actually is really badly flooded) then unplug the CAS before starting.

Hi steffan, does sound like a knackered battery or a bad connection if the car is turning over slowly

if the car is flooded take the spark plugs out for a couple hours it will evapourate

next replace the plugs, turn the alarm off, turn the ignition on, put gearstick in neutral, start another car, get a jump lead and connect to the positive terminal of the other car.

now touch the positive side of the starter motor of your GTR withe the jump cable and see what happens

AA guys been he says,

Fuel Pump priming and running ok.
No injector switching / no power to ignition coils.
ECU powering other engine sensors air flow etc.
All fuses ok.

He's recommended that I replace the CAS sensor.

Battery is good and charged.

When I turn ignition its not really turning over its that grinding eh ehe ehehehe heheehh noise but no physical crank.

Advice on CAS sensor as I'm stuck in Scarborough and cant get to work :(

It started with new pump, ran for 10 mins and then just stopped. It's trying to crank so I dont think starter motor just yet.

Gtrs take a lot of power to turn then over I'd defo say your battery is knacked, mine has to be 13.4v or won't start

could it be that it started from fuel in lines from before pump change, then air void from splitting fuel pipes to fit new pump. is there any priming of new pump/fuel lines to be done?
