Hi Guys, hope for some help/advice, my R33 RB20E-AUTO, Fan seems to be staying on when I'm in 1st and 2nd gear and then eases off when in 3rd, So when I take off in 1st the Fan is really really noisy till 3rd gear, almost sounds like a Truck, Its always been a loud Fan when first starting up when cold, but that always went away after 1min or so, but now its seems to be staying on way too long, even when car is fully warmed up, the fan now goes and is really loud for 1,2 gear.

Any ideas?

I am due for a Camelot now, Car is about to hit 200,000km, but its still great

you mean the cooling fan behind the radiator? that is bolted to the water pump that runs when you start the engine that speeds up the faster you go?? that fan?

Hi, Yeah that fan, but as I said its now goes longer than it used too and is much nosier, seems to be over running rather than running to cool radiator, def not always been like this...

what do you mean by it goes on longer than it used too? it will run as soon as you start the engine.

it does however have a thermostatic thingy that may be needing replaced lol the part that the fan bolts onto that then bolts to the water pump is the thermostatic thingy
