can anyone tell me the month and year that the spec 1 ended and the spec 2 began.
because i have a bonnet which i want to sell but i dont know the difference between the specs.
i need to know which spec it is, it is off an m reg r33 which goes from 1994 aug to 1995 july
any help would be appriciated.

spec 1 till 12/1995
spec 2 from 01/1996

if its the cars original bonnet its a spec 1
look at the shape of the bonnet at the headlights near the grille, spec 1 has a bigger curve opposed to a spec 2
will look for 2 piccies to make it clear dunno the right words in english

prolly isnt as simple as saying spec 2 is from 96 and onwards as fe there are people on here that have a spec 1 looking car with a spec 2 engine
