Hi

I have a 2000 R34 Skyline 2.5 Neo 6 (RB25DE)

I have replaced 2 coilpacks. That fixed the misfire which was in it from cold. It drove great for a day or two and then when the engine warms up it feels like its not firing on all 6 and it feels sluggish, and vibrates a little.

Could it be a fact that the coil packs are dieing one by one? Or could it be a maf sensor?

Any ideas where to start would be great lads..

Cheers

Sound like it`s coilpacks to me as I have had a similar problem but don't rule out other things also. There is a thread on this subject and the rail that holds the packs in can also cause problems. When the car is running lumpy can you unplug the coilpack one by one and see if it makes any difference? Then go from there.

Ah.. thanks for that lads... :)

taken from that thread. "That's a good idea, some nice thick delrin / nylon washers for the coils"

ive noticed on my coilpacks that the plastic around where you bolt the coilpacks to the rocker cover is gone and its just steel. I may try that.. makes sense..

Ive had the same problem for about 3 weeks now.
Ive tried Iridium plugs with 1.1mm and 0.7mm gaps.
Other used coil packs.

Then I bought a set of coil packs from Max Speeding Rods, and a new set of copper spark plugs, 0.8mm gap. And now its running perfectly.
Coil packs: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321216305453
Plugs: NGK BCPR5ES (slightly longer than the Iridium ones, so better contact with the spring)
