Not sure about the most powerful RB20DET mate, but some high-powered Jap drift spec R32's are running ~450bhp and some maybe a little bit more... but ive also seen 1 vid of an RB20DET making 600ps alledgedly... but for drag purposes i think, so it probably wouldnt be expected to last very long anway!?!

Internals are good really... basically the rods and pistons can withstand ~350bhp no probs with good tuning.
So above this tho, id think it'd be worth changing to forged items.:)

Clutch is only good for ~300bhp IIRC... depends on driving/launching style too tho IMO.:)

I think 400-450bhp is about the limit of the RB20DET without having to focus on head mods and upping CC's
Its mostly agreed that the cylinder head is the biggest restriction on the RB20DET - it has a smaller inlet port diameter compared to RB25/26 head, and is limited to valve diameter also.

I luv the RB20 tho... and ive got 'special' plans in mind for mine... lol

Good luck with your RB20 mate.:)
