Hey there, recently I bought my first Skyline, a 1996 R33 with a RB20E in it. It's alright for what I want for now as I am attracted to the idea of an N/A because I am a student. Keeping that in mind, I would like to put something a little more powerful in it aka the RB25DE engine. Just wanting to know how hard it would be to do this swap, what extras would I need other than the engine itself and just some general advice. Cheers

Im not an expert but...

you just need the engine and loom and it should all just plug in/bolt on.

I'm not 100% sure but you might need a loom from the same series of r33.
If you have a series 2 r33, you probably want a series 2 r33 engine and loom
if you have a series 1 r33, you probably want a series 1 r33 engine and loom
you will also obviously need an rb25de r33 ecu

having said that, adapting the loom to fit shouldnt be that difficult if youre handy with a soldering iron

However, in all honesty...
You would be better off selling the RB20E R33 and buying an RB25DE R33
The amount you would save in petrol would actually make it a pretty financially sound choice.
