I am a newby to the Skyline world and had a few performance cars. I have just bought today a nice R33 gts 2.5 and the previous owner was very meticulous. I did know that the rear tyres are worn and need replacing, i noticed that they are worn more on the inside half of both sides and by the same amount. The car is slightly lowered and I wondered if this has anything to do with the wear, ie camber of tyres. I am going to get some new tyres but wondered if they will still wear on the inside again. The car has 4 wheel steer I know, can any 4 wheel alignement specialist, tyre places check and adjust the wheel alignement too. Cheers.

Firstly welcome, Yes it will wear the insides of the tyres if the car is lowered, the fronts too wear on the inside. You can buy a adjustable camber kit for the rear, although i have no idea how much they are. Mines lowered quite a bit and i go throught a set of tyres in approx 5-6000 miles, although this depends how you drive it:D

Cheers Chris, do not intend to drive the car that hard and only bring the car out when the weather is nice. Do you think it would be better to have the car set back to the original setting by using standard parts or if they are adjustable springs maybe set them higher may correct this. Apart from looks I do not see the point of lowering the car if it is only going to wear the tires out unevenly! Doesnt sound right to me!! Thanks again for the advise.
