There isn't one....all depends on the gear you select....or do you mean what RPM achieves peak power? But that's is also gear dependant unless on an engine dyno.

I mean the idle speed. ive just had new spark plugs and the idle speed has gone from 650 to about 900.

Well 650 is rather low anyway, I would expect between 800-900 so not bad is yours auto as it will be 900 to 1000rpm the odd thing is changing plugs shouldn't change the idle unless the old ones where really naff.
