My Skyline has been off the road for several months and rust has built up on the surface of the discs.

Is it something to worry about? Or will it simply disappear once it's back up and running?

yeah get it into the garage quick!
you'll need new discs straight away!

nah, itl come off in like 2 secconds of braking and be 100% fine again!

Thanks! I can now sleep again, as I've not had rust appear on discs before now...

i have left mine for over a month outside and it also got rusty discs but its only light surface rust a quick drive up the road and GENTLE braking for a while to clean them up !!!

In the coastal air we've got over here, my discs usually have loads of rusty spots on them overnight! Goes away with a touch of the brakes though.

Nothing to worry about.

Glad it's a common thing then, I thought I would be investing in a new set of discs.

We get brand new cars arriving with rust on the discs! Its normal, nothing to panic about.
