Mine is a 95 change over year, what's the easiest way to find out which it is?

As far as I am aware you can have spec 1 engines in spec 2 bodies and vice versa. For the body spec it is as others have suggested - lights, bonnet etc.

Engine wise I think the easiest way to tell is by the ignition amplifier (I think thats what it is called). Basicaly if you have a wee 'box' bolted to the top of the cover for the plugs and coils then it is a spec one. If thereaint a box then its spec 2.

and if I am talking rubbish, someone will be along soon to correct me.

yup, at the end of your spark plug cover, will either be a unit with two cables plugged into it, with 4 legs, or simply 4 holes where this would of been. If you have the unit it is a spec 1 engine, if you do not, you have a spec 2

Yes it is. Your airfilter is attached to it.

iv got a spec 2, are the angle of the innerside h/lamp diffrent coz my new bumper isnt the best fit?

Mine is spec 2 and its got airbags both drivers and passenger sides.
