:swear::swear::swear::swear::swear:ALot of swearing being done at the minute...

Right this affects anyone with AFTERMARKET CAMBER ARMS from DRIFTWORKS OR JAPSPEED, so 75 % of us on here im guessing. When your upper front suspension bushes start to fail and squeak like a hore's bed like mine have your going to run into the problem which i have currently...

Purchased the only bushes i could find on the net/here/ebay....camber adjustable bushes by SUPERPRO£95 for the 33GTST. Currently using driftworks adjustable upper camber arms aswell...

NOTE: These are not compatable with adjustable front upper arms i have since found out at the garage, SO the original upper arms are going to have to go back on:swear: and the camber re-set using these bushes. For ****s sake waste of time buying upper arms then......

Seems two types of adjustment arn't compatable together-logical, yet NEITHER supplyer of arms or bushes (super pro) states this.....

Anyone seen an advert for regular non adjustable front upper bushes for a 33 GTST lately?? I know i havn't otherwise i wouldn't have bought these ******* things!! I work with fine adjustment in my job so relaying it to a car/camber isn't difficult...

Now i've got another 100+mile round trip to do in a slow 4x4, using more of my fuel and time. All because this slight incompatability isn't noted anywhere ******s..

I'm sure you can get these from conceptua when I bought bushes( oem arms). I think I got the option of adjustable. Memory might be lying but its worth a pm to them. I have bushes spare but think its all rear

Wouldn't it be a good idea just to do a bit of ringing around and confirming parts work with other parts before buying??

eenie; I got these bushes from conceptua, there was no alternative available or mention of them not working with my camber arms...I would have definantly bought the non adjustable ones if they were listed in the ebay shop, but non were. Even searching the net there seems to be no alternative otherwise i'd have gone with them.

The bush kit is designed to be held in place with the stock upper arms. Just the way it's made by the looks of it...

Wild; When companys (superpro) are selling/making products you expect them to do the leg work in testing and fitting, at £95 for just the upper 4 bushes i expect things as important as bushes to work with any arm fitted to a car... Due to age of these cars it's obvious people are going to change things....

The adjustable arms (i've driftworks) obviously don't have a cradle type fitting to help these new bushes stay in place-just the way there designed....

Even though the bushes are camber adjustable it should be easy to alighn them up with my current camber setting that the arms are giving, just the bushes seem to need to be held in place with stock fitting arm to enclose them more...

I think there will be afew others given time in this postion also. My adjustable arms will be put in the bin if there not to worn or put up for sale...

They wouldn't, should just stipulate in the instructions/car application for bushes to be used only with OEM suspension componants...

Think Superpro are Australian. They made these bushes to work with stock upper arms as modifying a car in Australia is in the same catagory as murder from what i've seen. They (the law) hate modified/tinkered with cars especially Jap stuff, there's laws and documants to get modifications approved before you can go on the road!!

These are probibly a way of keeping stock equipment but allowing a certain amount of camber adjustment which we don't need over here if we run aftermarket arms.

No one appears to do just the regualar stock style bushes :( . I've search and all it throws up are ones for the rear?! I'd hate to see what nissan would charge for getting some in even if they could!!

Not wanting to cause any hassle but it's blatantly obvious that an aftermarket suspension arm with rose joints and the such will not accept bushes that are designed for standard arms also given the bushes are adjustable why would anyone want to fit adjustable bushes to adjustable arms anyway.

I'm sure the upper arm has a spherical bearing in it anyways? Or have I missed what your meaning?

Hi Speedreeper, it's the bushes at the top of the hub assembly closest to the wheel, refered to as the upper outer bushings i think? There at either end of the barrel in this pick anyway!!
They go in this up right..


Your right i got the arms to replace everything with the rosejoints where they fit to the chassis and there fine:). They were working fine until these upper outer stock bushes still in the hub upright started to wear and squeak badly..

It's where the arms fit to the hub where the problems lies, where my bushes are shot.


^^This is how they were and are fitted. The new bush kit won't work the arms where they fit to at the top of the hub assembly ( the barrel inbetwen the arms). There appears to be no alternative to these camber bushes, which is where the issue lies.......
Hence having to fit the stock upper arms for the worn bushes to be replaced and make the car
1; stop squeaking
2; stop an annoying clunk when you brake hard and stop
3; make it safe again for proper driving...

4; possibly some cheap camber arms for sale now:(

Gotcha mate I call that the upper kingpin bushes lol

Have you tried Nissan as they may surprise u or conceptua since they can supply new kingpin assemblies so must know where to get bushes?

Answer to a post that seems to have disappeared?!; Nah there for the front these arms i fitted them along with the coilovers, they've been on a year and have done a great job!!! Just these bushes that have caused a problem...

I got them from conceptua think £95 for just these upper front kingpin bushes, NO non camber adjustment bushes were/are available. I've seen the assemblys and they are £££ expensive.

My local nissan garage just want to try selling me crap (other cars) or don't even know where to look to find part numbers on the system! #chocolate fire guards.....

* Apparently running coilovers and slight changes in camber/suspension movement can exaggerate the stock bush wear. They've done well for 18yrs. Spoke to a lad who had a scooby that did exactly the same thing as what mine has. Just started squeaking after afew months on coilovers lol

MAYBE afew ticking timebombs out there, awaite the squeaking threads to start....

Ayup mate, they've got part numbers for nut n bolt that go through it though!! 54550AA and 54020BB. Do they think they've invented and everlasting bush? Wonka style?

As i said give it time and afew more people will be in this positon, replace upper arms to stock and fit these camber ones im having fitted #ballache Good job i didn't throw them away or sell them coz im good at clearing stuff out:dogpile:
