My GTS is developing a bit of a problem starting.

I turn the ignition and I get a kind of 'tinny' sound (relay perhaps?) but nothing from the starter motor. It only used to happen when the engine was cold and would take 2 or 3 attempts before the starter motor kicked in and started without problem.

Now it is taking around 7 to 10 attempts to get the starter motor to start every time.

Any suggestions?

Faulty wiring OR starter solenoid is dodgy, either a) whack it with a hammer (seriously) and hope it improves, b) take the starter off and clean the solenoid, c) replace it entirely
