Quick question for you please folks.

How much is it to re-build a stock R34 GTT turbo with steel internals please?
OR,is it cheaper to buy a 2nd hand one with steel internals? :dunno:

I'm just looking at possible future mods which may need this,
as if i do them i wouldn't want to damage std ceramic internals.

Thanks in advance good people from Neil.

your looking at about £700 for a rebuild, which seems expensive considering you can buy a brand new turbo for less than that

Many thanks mate.
Thats that one out the window then.
I've just fitted HKS induction kit.
Over xmas is my Gizzmo IBC and up the boost a bit.
Next up is Downpipe and full exhaust
Then hopefully an RSP re-map.
The std internals on turbo will handle the approx 310-320 bhp.
What bhp will i need steel internal turbo please?
I know i'm a bit away from maxing it out but don't wanna take chances mate.

I'm not sure about the GTT but my turbo is at 0.8bar, stage 1 mods + RSP Chip and is handling upto 340.2bhp so far. I think all turbo's are a little different and some might handle more and others less. Hope that helped :)

Thanks for the useful info Mani :bigthumb:
I'm waiting on a pm reply from RSP for their R34 GTT re-mappable ECU prices.

I'd either go for a RSP exchange or give CR turbos a call.

Thanks Bruce :bigthumb:
I didn't realise RSP did 'an exchange' mate?
Also i've not heard of CR turbo's,but i take your word as they being reliable.
Where are CR located at please mate and do you have their contact number please?
Either pm it or post it up so i write it down for future reference please.
Do you know any prices for R34 GTT re-maps from the above 2 outlets please mate?

Many thanks for your input.

RSP remap has been proven so many times over to give good results, the other advantage with the rebuilt GTT turbo is its bigger than the GTST turbo very slightly so tends to yield better results, normally always around 430bhp with supporting mods.
