hi all, whats the MAX BOOST I can run on a stock ECU please??

assuming that turbo can go to 1.3bar, theres plenty of fuel, theres a boost controller and a airflow controller, as well as a Z32 afm..

is there a DEFINITE limit that the stock ECU will cry "enough" and if so what is it please??

personally i would not use the stock ecu as will not reliably control beyond 0.8bar and will have problems advancing the timing if the two stage boost is removed leading to potential heat issues, for something say a powerfc thats not going to cost an arm and a leg id get one and then you can monitor and control your settings so much more effectively

cheers mate, i think it IS the ECU, just not sure if the stock afm could also be causing this as its maxing out, i'll be getting a Z32 this week, so i'll see what that does, then if no help i'll get a power fc and commander i think..

just wish there was a definitive boost figure the stock ECU can safely handle..

if they are stock injectors you will not be far off the limits of these too, what about head gasket? there are many issues to address if you want to run at the limits of your turbo

agreed RP, i know the injectors are close to the limit, i think, given the afm has maxed out, i'll be around 300 now, and the stock injectors are good for what?? 340ish??

the turbo is good for 1.3bar, but dont want anywhere near that without a head gasket etc, just want more then the 0.75 i have now without a splutter.. lol..

i'll probably see how far i can get it to go before i get injectors / gasket / power FC etc.. anyway, or i may leave it as it is and put it back to standard at the end of the year and go for a gtr with these mods already done..

Yoink!, 340 ish, thats brave, you could lean out big time. id get the power fc, at least you can monitor that sort of thing

yep, agree, dunno for sure what the injectors max is RP, hence the ??'s, think its 340ish tho...

anyway, see how i get on with the new afm, see if it makes a difference, same problem tonight, cant get the boost to stay down now either, even with the boost controller off its 0.75bar.. oh hum,.... lol..

Hey Tony I know this years late but from my experience the max boost that the afm can handle is a bar or near about the regions of 14.7 psi maybe it’s 14 … but over that the car does this cut… the z32 afm is known to be better
