Sorry if this has been posted already but it will do no harm if it has

Skyline R32 GTR
Registration: L516 SES

At approximately 11:20pm on Sunday 5th August 2007 the Skyline was stolen from outside Dicksons Of Dunblane in Stirling where it was in to be repaired.

The car had originally been bought from Dicksons a few months ago and had previously been in to get some minor repairs done (new bushes and heating fixed). However, the heating still had not been fixed and was returned to Dicksons a few weeks ago to have this problem sorted. My friend's Integra, that was also bought from Dicksons, was in to have some minor repairs done at about the same time as the Skyline was in to be repaired. We went up to collect the Integra and found it parked beside the Skyline and a few other vehicles outside of the workshop beside the petrol station in clear view of anyone using the petrol station.

On Wednesday 8th August 2007 the family received a phonecall to say the Skyline had been stolen. They said they had been working on the car on Friday and required a part for it so put it back outside and only realised on Wednesday when the part arrived that the Skyline was missing (bearing in mind it was parked infront of the doors to the workshop). When the family arrived they were told that a vehicle pulled into the petrol station on Sunday night, the passenger walked over to the Skyline and was in and away with it within 10 seconds. The car was fitted with an immobiliser and Toad ai606 alarm so should not have been able to have been moved in such a short period of time.

There is a reward of £1000 being offered for information leading to the recovery of the car.

All help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Surely the garage should be liable. I cant believe they didn't notice it was missing. This isn't going to do their reputation much good.

They may be a 'good' bunch, but the simple fact of the matter is that a car got stolen while under there care, I would imagine that they are totally liable and if it were me I'd be speaking to a solicitor.

Someone either has a copy of the fob and key or the garage left the keys in it?

I really hope it gets found in one piece!

Thats an absolute sh!tter... garage is def liable.

First thing is to get teh keys back... as your insurance would need these by default, just in case. Lets hope they give you the right ones.

Any disguishing marks on your bunch of keys?

Oh my god! Just seen this post.
That is shocking. It does sound dodgy to me, as someone posted before to get away that quick you would need the original keys and fob to start the the car, without changing barrels and programming etc.

I'll keep and eye out, but now I am going to be a little paranoid about my car!

If it has a tracker, get it activated???

Saw the post about this on our local cruise site (falkirkcruise.net) then saw all the stuff on the bbcnews website about dodgy dealing and Dicksons being Closed. absolutely gutting to hear about your skyline getting nicked, :( and hope you get her back in one piece and not too badly damaged.

As a btb from what we have heard Dicksons have moved back to the premises in Perth (theres a thread on it on falkirkcruise.net under the general tab)
