Step 1: cheap-what can I get rid of and still have a reasonably nice everyday car?

Step 2: expensive- what can replace (big stuff) and where can I get it from?

Thank you in advance

Seems a shame to rip out all the mod cons and comfort for the sake of saving a few pounds, you would probably only manage to shave 0.25 sec off the 0 - 60 anyway.

So, if you aren't tracking the car and you are looking to lose some weight, is the purpose to make the car quicker for everyday driving? I'm only asking because I would think the only way to make the car noticeably quicker for everyday driving without losing the comfort options would be to add items. Like Tricky said here, you might gain .25 seconds possibly, which in my opinion, might make a difference to someone tracking a car, but not for an everyday driver. Everyone has their own reasons though.
