hi guys, every morning i start my car in the back ground i can hear that sound, and slowly it fades away. Should i be concerned or does any one have any ideas why im sure it didnt used to do it any help would be great cheers

Has it been long since your last oil change? Mine was doing a similar thing, an oil and filter change sorted it, noisy lifter I think...

mine does it to but not alll the time and just like your it goes away after a little. its the shim buckets in the head. the only way i have heard to get rid of it permenantly is to take them out and give them a real good cleaning.

I always thought it was the top end because the oil runs down. Once the oil gets pumped back up, it goes away. Likely that I'm well wrong though, I tend to be......

Could be you air con gears slipping just behind the dash..... or is it definatley inside the engine bay

yes it is ok it will be the hyd taps filling up with oil as they fill up the tic tic tic will stop you can just hear them stopping one at a time

thanks guys im reassured now, but i may give the old girl an oil change to be on the safe side
