Can someone tell me whiat degrees the timing marks are set in?

IE the only post using the search says that the 15dgree one is the furthest left being viewed from the front of the engine? Is this correct?

Well just finished searching the forums but to no avail.

Checked the cars timing And there was 1 yellow mark on the extreme left of the crank pulley markings (viewed from the front of the car) followed by 6 marks to the right of it at regular spacing.
It was set at the 3rd white mark form the right which is where ive left it (with the tps unplugged)
It retarded etc when the engine was revved (ie moved further away from the yellow mark)

Ive worked on the basis that the yellow mark is TDC then every white mark is BTDC in 5 degree intervals which would put my timing at 15 BTDC if my theory is correct (well i havent altered it!)

In other words
yellow mark TDC
1st white mark 5 BTDC
2nd white mark 10 BTDC
3rd white mark 15 BTDC
etc etc upto the 6th which would be 30 BTDC

Anyone know if its right ot wrong for definete?

Yes you are correct on the above. With most timing lights you would put 15 deg in and line up the first mark but it depends on what light you are using.
