The car engine burns methanol at a rate of approximately 2 miles per gallon.

Also the only significant problem with methanol is that it burns with an invisible flame -- you cannot see a methanol fire.

Oh well there goes all the flamer kits then. no point in using Methanol in a Nova.

lol, I used to run a 1939 rigid rear GoldStar at 14:1 with methanol. Methanol dossolves your jets and eats carb material amongst other things


It does burn nice and cool though

lol yeah it does run cool, enables more piston strokes per injection apprently.

Yep... Saw this on Discovery Channel... They use it in Nascars... There was footage of a driver dancing around like a nutter after a crash.... It turns out that he was on fire!!! :eek: They soon got him out!!! very nasty stuff...

We ran an old knacked out moped on neat Methanol, fastest moped for two hundred yards you ever will see.
It melted the engine for some reason and siezed solid.
