are there any serious consequences by removing the heatshield from my standard turbo of my GTST??????

I removed mine when i first got it along with all the others....

guys pm iansr33 and ask him about turbo heatshield removal..... coz at knockhill he set fire to his lambda sensor wires and burned the underside of his bonnet:spank: :spank: just before he broke down:rofl: :rofl:

Mine is no way near the metal so is fine...
The heat gaskets keep alot of heat in... With the gaskets taken off it allows air to get in and aid the cooling

I'm running without a heat shield, no problem. Speedr33per's right about the wiring though, spend some time to make sure they're out of harms way.

i am goin to fit my elbow! tomorrow...then i will upload some pics....
i hope its gonna be ok without heatshields....in fairness there is a savage amount of heat comming from that exhaust tubby....are we all sure we can run this guy "naked"????

it is ok as i removed the sound proof stuff last week
