Hey guys, found this forum a couple of days ago and joined yesterday with the intention of getting as much advice as I can! (before probably ignoring and buying the wrong car :p)

I'm currently driving an audi s4 and fancied something a bit different and a little bit more special and after searching to see what my money could get me I found my first picture of a 350gt and felt it clicked straight away.

What im looking for is a pretty standard, stock if possible, example - hopefully with a leather interior and and decent spec. looking to spend about £6000 inc. the sale or trade of my s4.

In terms of thing you guys can tell me, is there 1 standard engine to all the 350gt's? seems most of the ones I've found are the 3.5 v6? also does anyone know of a specialised dealer in the Midlands that I could use, or is it better to go private?
And finally how much needs to be changed from Japanese? Not seen too many interior shots but the ones I've seen have had Japanese lettering on the buttons.

Thanks in advance to anyone that replies

Phil

Hello and welcome, first off you will find most of the 350 GTs are autos, so if you prefer manual box you will have to search pretty hard as there are very few.
Yes they are all 3.5 V6, as for leather there are several types of trim levels depending on year etc, there are leather and suede mix and microfiber.

They are all imports and as such will have been converted for use in the UK but that don't include buttons satnav or any of the other displays, i would be wary of dealers unless your pretty savvy, i looked at a lot and found the majority to be on the tatty side with various faults, your better of going private, and the ones for sale here including mine and Happy V35 are very good but not really in your budget, both are modded and mine is manual and Happy's is auto, but both are very good examples.

I may be up for a PX depending, but take a look at mine, any more questions
just ask we are a pretty friendly bunch here.

Welcome along mate
Not all Skylines of that shape are 3.5ltr so if you do find one you like, it may pay to check it's badged correctly!
They're a really common car in this country (evidently fairly common in manual too!), so here are a few links from my local auction site to give you loads of photos showing interior, exterior, boot and the engine bay :)

There are literally about 2 of the 2.5 and 3.0 lt sedans and i think one 3.0 lt coupe in the UK so i seriously doubt he is going to find or even want one after seeing or driving the 3.5 lt coupe, which is why i dint bother to mention the others:p

Oh wow... I had no idea there were so few
Yeah I agree, the chances of finding one of those is slim lol

At a guess, I'd say about 75% of cars here are Japanese so we're not exactly short on choice :D From basic family cars to Japanese supercars

Wow 11 replies, good community! Thanks for all the input guys, looks like ill keep my eye on the trade websites and this forums for sale and hope something comes up.
for anybody with the auto, is it a good daily driver at low speeds? I hear some auto boxes suffer from being a bit jumpy around town?
for the two guys who mentioned selling in this thread i suspect your both out of my price range for now, unless either of you were planning on stripping your mods of to sell separately?

does the sat nav still work in the uk?

Alright mate welcome to the club. Great bunch of people on here you wont go wrong. I live inthe midlands just outside of Birmingham and had the 3.5 v6 in an auto.Did a lot of local driving in and around the local roads of Birmingham, Dudley, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Coventry etc..Also spent a lot of time on the M6 and M5 M42 Southbound.

Car was never lumpy around town for me. MPG was actually not bad as currently have a 2.5 V6 ford cougar and the 350gt gave me a lot better mileage. Lots of torque but enough comfort for the local relaxing driving with all the power you need at the press of the accelerator. Like most people on here I definitely wouldn't hesitate in recommending the car to you it will make you smile all day long

As most people know on here I had mine wrote off last year but I have been dying to get another one but my insurance is just way too expensive at the moment so cant justify it otherwise i would have another one by now. There are a couple on autotrader at the mo for just under the 5k mark but from from what I know Tricky has a good one up for sale as does happy V35 and theres are a lot of car for the money.

The drive is so great and it just oozes ropad presence. Would definately recommend one. Good Luck in your search
