Vented Hood - Rain Guard....

Hey guys

as the 33 wont fit in my garage i want to fab up some kind of rain guard to stop rain dripping into my engine bay when left over night...

at the moment im simply placing a plastic sheet over the vents and trapping between the hood when closed, but want something a bit quicker and less hassle to fit before leaving her for the night

any ideas?

i was thinking something along the lines of cutting the plastic sheet to a correct size and clipping it over and under the hood either side.. or possibly just fabbing up some kind of drip tray to funnel the rain somwhere safer

Dont know the bonnet you have, but you may just be able to bond a sheet of carbon to the underside of the bonnet itself, thats what i did on mine, the vents are still functional but the water goes either side of the engine, if you can get to me id do it for you for a few quid, cheers martin

On the same theme as you have why not make the sheet a little smaller then attach some elastic to the sides with clips that will clip under the bonnet edges, you will only need 4 clips and it should be easy to take on/off..just a thought..

yea thats the route ima take, strap to the back and front of the bonnet, save lifting it up every night ^^
thanks
