Anyone know why my r32 vin plate says its a 93' and my reg plate is H 618 AVO?
I've checked the area code {last 2 letters} and it is Nottingham. It was imported by a garage in Derby.
I had to send the reg document back because it was down as made in 2000!
Not surprisingly it failed the mot on emissions.
I've owned it for 5 years but since garage emission equipment now is linked to dvla I'm having problems.
Anyway, how can a 93 car have a 90 plate? any ideas?

might be a private plate when it was imported, mine is, and its on a H plate and its a 93 r33.....

my mate has an 02 plate 300zx mate, done a 3week pnc course and as part of it we were told that at any one time, that the dvla DB has upto a 65% inacurracy rating. So this type of thing isnt surprising at all

you can put a older plate on any car, you just cant put a newer plate on it g m reg plate on a e reg car but you can do it visa versa
