hey guys well back on here again asking for advice my fellow skyline lovers - this weekend been out in my skyline gtr v spec - basically raced a 480bhp m5 left it for dead, now the following day car got strange noises cannot explain
if you drive the car hard accelerate in every gear the car pulls sounds as normal,
if i drive normal through 1,2,3rd gears everything fine when i cahnge to 4th and build up the revs and boost comes in it sounds like thunder or a hurendous missfire - now from inside the car my first instinct was clutch but it doesnt slip - then thought box it dont crush when i acc hard its pulls like a train in every gear ..... very random only happens in fourth when u bring boost on under heavy acc, if i gradually build boost through 4th its fine - wtf is happening ????????
i had a friend drive at the side of me - he says it sounds like the noise is coming out the exhaust which does this mean a turbo failing?????? i dont know please guys any advise be good

I`m sure i have read a thread on here somewhere about either one or two of a gtr`s gears being a problem, but i can`t rember if 4th gear was one of them.

hard to say but do you know what detonation sounds like?

its a loud tapping noise...a bit like someone shaking a can full of stones if its really bad
