Fabricated some spoiler blade lifters out of 316 stainless steel. well happy with how they turned out :)

initial shape using some cardboard trickery lol

After some more shaping with pilot holes

after final shaping and wing angle adjustments with some graining clean up

Test fitting

Blade attached

Gonna leave them as is davie might add on winglets at a later stage.

The dreaded strut top repair  :cya:

Noticed some rusty bits on the tops but never got round to doing it till this year and I'm so glad I did :uhoh:

Started off with this lol

As you can see there was a slight hole developing :dogpile:

Underside

Now to the drivers side

This didnt look too bad but worse was to come. Me and my bud got stuck in about it everything that looked bad was cut out and replaced, also handy that my bud is an structural steel engineering fabbie :dogpile:

Passenger side first, let the butchery comence

Onto the drivers side

lol @ this

We decided to put a top cover on to make it look tidier and to hide a lot of the welds imo a good idea

So now I have brand new strut tops which are 6mm thick :dogpile: full penetration welded all round, painted and undersealed.

Car feels so much more secure at the front now must've had a lot of softness going on there with the rust. That sounds like an offer to me Davie lol
