I'd take it back to em mate and say what's happening, i don't know whats involved in the conversion part to if that's caused it. Something worth looking into though (if the r33 is the same is my r32) is a cog in the gear box which goes to the speedo. If something has happend to that it might cause it. I had that cog break up causing me to only have 1st 2nd and reverse gears when it lodged the gear box up. I'm not a mechanic but it's just something that sprung to mind reading this.

thank god for that. i havnt yet had a look to see how it has been converted. im not sure if a convertor box has been used or there has been some cutting and soloring done on the back.
if i was able to get some new clock from the scrappy would this fix it? coz there one in a scrappy near me

Probably nothing wrong with your clocks if they have used an electronic converter. The trouble is that a lot of people fit cheap 4 wire converters. You need a good quality 5 wire so that the ECU and Hicas gets the correct speed signal. They are about 60-70 plus fitting. Or just run it std in KMH, though you will still be speed limited. A bit of forum searching will give you more info.
